when I got my 60 gb ps3 on saturday it wouldn't play ps2 games, then
yesterday I had the belkin internet thing on, turned on my ps3 and it said
something about upgrading from version 1.50 to 1.90, so I did and it now
plays ps2 games. Is this because it picked up the wireless thing?, as I
don't have it connected to the internet.
Sorry about the stupid question, I want to know where it picked up the
thing to upgrade if that makes sense, thanks

it should be on 1.93 on software update. usually come off of the net, some come with games im led to belive also as 1.94 has rumble feature for use with dual shock controllers but its only available with ratchet and clank so i got told.

I think it actually might have been when I put fifa 2008 in yesterday. So it needs to be 1.94 with ratchet and clank?

If you try to access the playstation network to download anything it won't let you unless you have the latests update.

Can't say I'm missing dual shock, perhaps I'd notice going back to one, but not really that bothered about not having it at the moment.......not sure I'll even buy one when they do come out.

i was gutted to pay 35 and not get a charging cable. that sickened me. although they do last a few days

Don't you have one already with the console? Can't you just use that?
My single controller seems to last ages, dunno how many hours, but not charged it since Tuesday and its still going strong
