Might sound daft but do you need to were coilovers in before you can lower them all the way down or are they ok to go straight down out of the box also what grease is every one using on the threads for over winter what with the salt ect thats going to be on the road?

no 'wearing in' required and use any type of grease. silicon grease is good so is copper grease as it cleans off easily.

Ok cheers dave, surely if it washes off easily going to get washed off easily when on the car though?

I use copper grease on mine. When needed to it washes off nicely with gunk or brake cleaner but rain water etc, wont wash it off
