using the pistons in my current engine for my new one but dont wont to remove them untill i have to. new block needs to be boored to 87.5, whats the best way to go about keeping it fresh or do you have to build it within "x" amount of time?

if its an empty block with no internals in just box it up and store it safetly. give it a light wipe over with oil to stop corrosion.

will oil not glaze/effect the bore dave?
also does it make any differnce if the cranks in with the sump on? can put something onatop to stop it getting shitty.

it will be fine ben. I stored a 1.6 cvh engine in a box in a shed for 4 years once, started first time.
just use cam lube on all of the crank journals.
