std c20xe bore/stroke is 86/86 with a comp ratio of 10.8.

using http://www.johnmaherracing.co.uk/enginecalc.htm

gives a cc of 1998.... correct book figure ja?

my bore/stroke is 88/86 with 11.2

giving 2092cc

so.... claims of 2.1 engines using 86.5mm bore and standard crank are bollox

it takes a lot of effort and calculation but it's worth it

2 members of the dutch corsa-club are working on TB'ed 2300+cc 16v engine's with fast dta and launchcontroll in their cars one of them a corsa

they had to do simulair calcultions
an a lot more things had to be modified but that's offtopic, both engine's hav been under construction for quite a while know but i'm sure its worth the wait

on a standard (orig) rebored block?

if so what crank have they used?

I'm at max (that i know of) bore size on a c20xe block, but using standard, albeit lightened, knife edged, crank

I dont know all de details an I dont think they'd like me much if they see me posting their studywork here even before they finished their own projects (more then a years work!)

it all started with a 2.2 16v engine that's all i can say atm
