my mates has done this to his engine and i might if i can buy it off him was just thinking could you get any more power from it hi sruning at 130bhp as he just got it rollingroad and mapped i was thinking tb's?

bored to a 1.7? even a 1mm overbore only takes it to 1638cc
to get 1.7 you need to increase the stroke as well. 130 is a decent figure for those mods, a remap will help a lot.

may av been a wank map and i don't know bout the bored out to a 1.7 and he may have changed the stroke, its still on std managment will that make a difference?

and if i was to put trottle bodies on with thses mods would i be seeing 170? or is that a bit to much?

depends who fits and sets up the tb's and maps it all really. also the cam profile is the big difference between 150 bhp and 180 bhp.

well what if you fitted them and set them up what you i be looking at then?and what do you mean the cams ahve a different profile?

Some cams keep the valves open deeper and longer. Letting in more go faster mix.

oh rite i get that bit but if i were to put a bigger profile cams in would i have to pocket the pistons or fit omega ones is this rite???

Something cant be right with that, i'd go with the idea of a dodgy remap. Managed to get my X14XE up to 120.9 and still got a lot left to do!
