I'm using my 1.6 rad with a 1.0 12v top hose, my rad is also leaking and I'll be getting another 1.6 rad to replace it as i know it fits and works with no problems

Rob,

As you seem to be the only one answering my post corretly, ould you eplain the "coolant galery"?

Im ordering a airon rad fro the 1.6
i have the thin beather pipe that is from the rad to he water bottle
so i just need the 2 pipes, which is betera mk astra or 1.0l?

from what i remember reading (so may be wrong) if you use the aircon model radiator thats wider, the mk3 astra gsi top hose fits as the radiator outlet is in the same place in relation to theengine as the astra one would be (if that makes sense)

the coolant gallery is the black plastic tube that runs around the back of yur engine, feeding the water matrix, bottom of header tank, water pump etc and connects to the right hand side of the radiator if looking down from front of car

Thank you- so basially use all 1.6 pipes and then the astra mk3 Gsi (redtop) downpipe fro the water bottle

almost. mk3 gsi pipe from rad to thermostat housing. im not sure which pipe you'd use from bottom of header tank, i'd assume the corsa one

Anyone got any further definitive answer's?

i remember the aircon rad being too big or needed different mounts or something?

I used a normal 1.4 8v one on mine, with two slimline fans, cool running stat too.

you have to move the rubber bung to a differnt hole in the lower crossmember. and you will need another bracket for the top, but you can use 2 passenger side ones (from a scrappy) or find one for an aircon radiator
