lol you lot going mad over a few bhp, you really wont be able to feel any difference apart from a noise and the back of the engine there will trap heat like a badger

i wouldn't be so sure, its a long way to carry an air feed, maybe if you sealed the sock in a box and carried an airfeed to it

its gonna take a lot of cold air to cool an area that close to the engine and that enclosed

Fair point, i did say a good air though.

Moving the air filter with a pipe like in that pic would be better in theory

Regardless of the apparent increase, it just seems very bodgetastic fixing a sock filter to the TB and chucking in a cold air feed.

A gain is a gain though, its a better idea than chavs at halfrauds sticking on go faster bits and ebay resistors or even fans in the induction

Doing it this way is far better than sticking a filter at the back of the engine.






Think about it, EVERYONE knows you need to get the air filter as far away from the engine/heat as possible.

Yeah i agree with you aswell but you have to admit just fitting a sock over the TB that sits at the back of the engine isnt exactly smart.... if it was so good then im sure someone would have dont it by now.

Fitting a pipe to the tb and directing it away from the engine with a filter on the end would be better imho

i would have liked to try this but i cant cus of the secondary air pump and air con theres no room 4 my filter

Cut a hole in the back of your glovebox and turn that into your airbox and have a fan blowing into it

no, as the c20 doesn't have a restrictive inlet like the c16 x14/16

not really, these engines just have a restrictive inlet tract which is why it apparently works on them
