right i have found an engine to go into my 1.4

is there anywhere i can get instructions of how to do the conversion to give to my friend (the mechanic)

Its a straight swap, same mounts and everything, as well as the x16xe ECU.

so just take engine out, put new one in and then just plug everything back together

Basically yes... you can even run it using the x14xe ECU (which I had to do with mine because my immobiliser stopped my x16xe ECU from working!).

Yes but unless you have a non-immobilser ECU (hard to find) you will need your ECU, transponder chip, and the part in the ignition barrel to go with it (I believe).
