all corsa 1.3cdti (2004 to 2006) drivers beware ! be very careful the other day mine had a life of it's own, it had been in the garage for a diesel fuel filter , drove home , car ok . the next day drove about 3 miles when the car was suddenly engulfed in smoke , red lined and would not turn off , both me and the misses thought our days were numbered (doing 60 down a road and not seing whats goin on shits you up a bit). fire service came and delt with the car to find that it was a fuel fault! took car back to garage all the said was that it was nothing to do with them . and the problem was going to cost over 3 grand ! more than car was worth . mechanic said there were lots wrong with the corsa range ! wrote to vauxhall they we'rnt interested one bit saying the car was out of warrenty by 7000 miles . SO ALL YOU 1.3CDTI DRIVERS SELL THEM QUICK BEFORE THEY END UP COSTING YOU LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY !!!!!!!

sure it dont start burning on its own oil, thats what normaly happens

sounds like the fuel regulator to me although i didnt think modern diesels had them?happens to high mileage 306 td's although you can tell its going to happen as little bits of metal will appear in your fuel filter.

so basicly:
car was fine
car went to garage for fuel filter
car leaves garage
car nearly blows up due to fuel problem
and its the cars fault, not the garage that did the fuel filter?

I wouldnt suggest seeling them on  would that not cause others to have misfortune?
