when i rev my gsi it smokes when cold/hot cant really see what colour it is but have noticed the tip of my exhaust keeps goin wet (black) and theres alot of black dots sprayed up the back of the car.
the lifters need replacing, could this be causing it?
if not does any 1 now what could be causing it?

the exhaust pops quite alot, which doesnt sound rite, also the eml comes on some times code 22 tps low voltage.
i do dont use unleaded petrol i have always put super unleaded in as i find it lasts longer and gives better performance, could this b the problem?

no shouldnt be. super will be better for your angine i guess. i always use V-power.

low voltage..... dont have a clue amtey might be your injectors or something.

All i can guess is its running rich or something Sorry im not much more help.

possibilit the ecu thinks the the throttle is open more than it should be? causing more fuel to be injected?

If your throttle position is low voltage then chances are its dead.

Sensors on these engines are a nightmare !

I have had fault 22 before. Changed the TPS and it went

Still got loads more fault codes to keep me happy mind

ok cheers lads, i have a spare tb off my old engine so will try that.
it sounds as if there a blockage in the exhaust, i had a custom straight threw exhaust on my saxo and that felt the same, and eventually it back-fired and was fine but that didnt have a cat and my gsi does
