Just had a service, cambelt change and new disic and pads today. Drove back from the garage and thrashing it as the old cambelt had a lose cog or sumthing like that so regained abit of power with the new belt but after 5 mine I start to hear a ticking from the engine bay driver side. As I pull off it makes a highish (loud enough for all passengers to hear) pitch ticking and also when i have high revs. Drove around for abit after leaving it for 10 mins and there was no noise and when i drove "normal" there was no noise but after another short mad driver moment it came back and was there until i turned it off
Any help would be appreciated

if it only doing it for a bit when you boot it id say its more oil/tappets related. cambelt would do it all the time

not necessarily. Mine wasnt tensioned properly and it made an intermittant ticking noise
