I have a project 1.7 Diesel Combo and i was wondering how easy it would be Turbocharge it and what bits i would need. Presumably this can be done and i just need the bits from say an astravan for example? The van is a 1998. Engine swap for XE is not viable before anyone says it, as the van will be used for business. As much as i would like to! I have heard that some Post office combo's were Turbocharged and that they were very quick. Quick enough to embarass a Corsa GSi.

you just want a y17dt, be easier to swap engines i imagen 
 
the 1.5dt's are suppost to be quick too 
 
 
and embrasse a 1600 petrol - no chance
