the mouse of my laptop used to have an area on the right hand side and down the bottom so you could just scroll around websites but now its stopped working. is this just a setting? how do i change it and get it back

Normally synaptics touchpad drivers on a Dell, other manufacturers I don't imagine it being far off.

its not a dell, its a sony vaio. wot will i have to do, update drivers?

if you give us the model number of your laptop we'll be able to find exactly what you need   thats if its the drivers of course

i tried updating the drivers, but it said they were up to date and nothing changed
