8v one wont fit, i tried it, couldnt even modify it to fit.
i ended up buying a small race alternator kit for mine. (from sbd so you need to remortgauge to buy it)
you can make up a lowering kit yourself tho.

Is is the 16v alternator that wont fit the 8v lowering bracket?
As a 8v mount definently fits the block as there the same?

The 8v alternator is different, it doesn't have the mount holes for the solid bracket that holds the top of it(like the 16v one)
But the pulleys are changeable yeah.

its simple to make one, its just a bit of metal plate with 4 holes in. I have made a few for people now, takes about 20 mins and costs £5
