Dont buy green stuff pads, there crap, i was throwing the paxo round for about 5 mins and started to fade, stopped and the fronts were smoking, bring on mintex1144's thats just for anyone thinking about getting them !

get mintex ones bud, i did 8 laps of you know where last night, stopped and i had a fair bit of smoke coming off my brakes.

www.motorsportworld.co.uk - mintex 1144's, what im going to get and whats been reconmended.

you recon mintex are better than black diamin?ive been quoted £150 fora set of discs and pads.last night was good apparently.we are going up tonight

yeah last night was ace, beat a scooby estate, haha he wasnt happy was driving in the middle wouldnt let me past...

People who go on track on sax-p have said mintex 1144's are what they use, people also use them in there 4 and 6 pots..

Not just saxo's. My last corsa had them. Crap all the way to work. Then fantastic round the last roundabout, then stopped coz i was at work

well people say you need to get them hot to work, i had mine smoking, and they were shit, so i dont believe it.

Indeed, green stuff are shite and a waste of money.
I much preferred standard OE pads.

was going to say, i think my standards were possibly better...

Dont know about them steve, havent used them, there sold in halfords though so probably crap, go for mintex or ferado ds2500.. both 60 quid

I've got black diamond pads on v6 calipers. can get them smoking with a car full heavy breaking but not experienced any fade yet

other than the time they smoked (but thats with the car full) which was a one off

nah i havnt been up there for two weeks.mine was smoking before when we was having a little race.had a bad oil leak but thats sorted now.

I've already got some. Just wanted to know what ppl thought about them coz i have a sticky caliper so haven't driven it too hard to need the brakes a lot.

oh right, we go a place where its 90 - 30 constantly, i do this about 10 - 12 times and my brakes are shot, pieces of shit.

mine too.but then they are only standard 1.6 sport brakes

yeah, dont like it there tho, nearly top out so its pointless... Im going to get ferado ds2500 pads, 70 quid inc delivery, but well worth it as out braking people is as much fun as beating them in a straight line
