Lately, usually when changing from 2nd to 3rd, every now and then my corsa will backfire and loose power until i release the accelerator any ideas what this could be? Maybe some sort of blockage or something? Its a 1.2 8v for those who dont already know. Cheers

Backfire is normaly caused by unburnt fuel i believe, over fueling?
Other than that im not to sure.

Only when changing gear, when i accelerate after changing gear, doesnt ever do it when just driving along at a constant speed. Not sure if the ECU light is on, maybe it needs new plugs and leads, dont think theyve been changed for a while will have to get some and see if it gets any better. Did it 3 times in 2 days last week but hasnt done it since.

To be honest iv only had the car for 5-6 months and havnt checked them since buying it. Did buy some plugs but they were the wrong ones, stupid place obviously didnt listen to what model i told them as they gave me the wrong ones. Will replcae them when i get paid and see if it makes a difference
