ok, on the way to mod nats yesterday, got 3/4 the way there, and come round a bend, was in 4th doing about 30, heard some noise like an angle grinder under the car? :?
done the same on the next bend, then nothing for the rest of the day, then the same night, it was doing it again? getting louder and louder it seemed! it really does sound like an angle grinder, grinding metal?
seems to do it when im going fairly slow in 3rd/4th/5th? then when ive picked up more speed, it stops completely?
ive not looked under the car or anything as its been constantly raining
help, im scared, performance vauxhall is coming soon and im hoping this isnt anything major?

dont do it under braking, only when accelerating, if i come off the pedal the noise stops also

seems to make the sound just under 30mph in 4th the most!
but then when i get to just over 30 it stops?
sounds like im driving without an exhaust i guess? as when the revs were dropping the other day it started popping/banging slightly, its all standard exhaust system
shagged cat, middle box or backbox maybe? would that cause that sort of noise?
