it can be done, wthout dropping compression
my mate has used an M45 on his golf, uses it every day, for 3 months, and has changed NOTHING, cost him £220 for the whol conversion
runs so so well

Yeah, I'm thinking that me + supercharger + standard compression = melted pistons though James You know I love a bodge, but I'd rather not bodge it an knacker a whole engine when I buy it from you

I'm considering Ferriday for a 2mm spacer, should be enough to lower the C/R nicely, then use 2 head gaskets and cross my fingers.

the stroke and bore will remain unchanged..........
robin, we work on a supercharged r32, using standard bottom end, infact the engine has never been apart, its currently running 330bhp + gas! and it is used daily and used hard! keeping the cr standard will keep it responsive
