right i've looked on the MTX site in the links at the top. and i don't think it relates any of the volume calculations to the size of the sub.
surely a bigger dia. sub will need a higher volume box for it 'cus of the fact it moves more air. anyone able to provide any help with this???

not really, all boxes will be different for different subs and what your wanting from them due to the different specs of the subs
ask someone to design you a box on talkaudio.co.uk

I wud have thought that the site wud have told u. I found out the hard way that the box can make a huge difference. I made a boot build, took loadsa time and a bita money, got it all connected up and it sounded so shit i cudnt believe. I ripped it out straight away and built two big boxes in about 15 mins and thats wot ive been using for the past few months. Looks shit, but it really did sound unbelievably bad, mainly cos the boxes werent airtight and far too small
