Making a new project thread as i'm going to post everything in here.

When i first brought the car it was a little rust bucket with dents all over the place!

She cost me just under £700 for a 1.4sri 8v with around 60000 miles. Engine was fine and nothing wrong with her in those terms, just needed a little TLC

The day i picked her up it got a new dent in the boot (people at the place i brought it from crashed her into a post )

We thought time to get an exhaust! so end result was a remus pipe with a magnex oval back box

Great sound was happy with the result

Then it came time to replace old body work with newer parts!

List :

New boot
Bonnet
M3 eleccy mirrors
Offside wing
Lights
boot popper

So went to wrok with taking it all off

*old bonnet/boot*

Old boot with new boot and boxing for new bonnet

new mirrors

Well they all went on and i thought great! looking abit smarter.

Sadly during the next stage i didn't get many photos as the kit was fitted almost the same time as the alloys!

Anyway the alloys came 17" black ice TSWs on a near 8" wide wheel base.

We then got the wide kit off ebay and got that fitted asap!

End result i came back home with a car half primer and paint! great!!!! filler all the way and a crap job on the car!

But those pics where taken on a car that wasn't even running!

On the way home from collecting the car the front crossmember gave way and dropped the radiator out onto the motorway! amazing day

We then spent the next month getting parts to repair it costing well into a £1000! new cross member, better raid, fitting costs etc.

The person who fitted it then wired my rad wrong and blew my head gasket up! another £200 in repairs.

It meant my car sat on the drive for a month nearly two with primer fully covering the car, rusting away and being a pain in the arse!

But after months we got it back on track

So got the alloys fitted at long last, another step in the right direction!

Well, as you can see! the primer was basically falling off the car and rusting away

We then found our next problem! the exhaust...Burn baby burn

Yes the exhaust was burning the kit away!

So spent 2/3 weeks looking for a company to move it, no one would do it...

Anyway! after a long wait of nothing going on with the car we got the spray date! WOOHOO!

so the lorry comes to collect the car, in the mess shown above!

So off she goes, gone for a month!

Anyway! i got pics from the company doing the work, 1 girl and a lad worked on the car both around 19 years old.

So off with the old primer!

and on with the new look! bring back paper!

Anyway! she started to take shape and they spent weeks taking back layers, re doing them etc!

The had some problems, heat welding a toll out the door, someone tried to break into it! Needed new door pins, and alot of work to repair the front bumper.

The took out almost all of the filler which is great from my point of view!

So damage to the front bumper, alot, due to repairs and the lorry driver!

Some pics of the damage + filler!

I love filler

Anyway! 2 weeks later i get the phone call!

So i went to pick it up and didn't waste any time to get pics!

I also got the new suspension kit fitted to lower the car -35mm

We then had a problem with the front lights, crap angel eyes, the blew and messed up so i thought i'd treat myself to a new set!

Thats it i believe for the time being!

Still a couple of things to be done, spacers etc and i will update once thats on.

I'd like to give great credit to a couple of corsasport members who even tho knew my car wasn't euro still gave great comments and support.

Robin, always seemed willing to help and gave nice constructive replies thanks.

Dave A - By far the most helpfull member on CS for me, great comments and support during the total progress of the car, also got me a great deal on the spax suspension kit, did alot of running around, thanks for the support and help dave.

Roadrunner motorsport, quick and fast supply of the total exhaust system

Corsasport website as a total, great help in questions and comments towards anything to do with cars.

halfords - where i work, good help and got alot of bits and bobs from there.

Most improtant.

Beeson & Galloway LTD, did my respray and repair work. Great company!

very nice car mate, looks great, love the colour.

With the rear lights i would go for mhw or if you want to match the look of your car go for the LED ones.

Didn't know you worked in Halfords, i do aswell, the place has its uses lol.

You might need to save up a while for the LED's Jay. Just looked at the price. Still think the black JDM's you showed me the other day look the nicest. Not keen on the smoked tbh.

JDM's are a different shape to lexus, similar finish in ways but by far a better shape.

Still unsure.

Well, work starts soon on touching the car up for PVS.

Fitting the mesh to the back bumper, cleaning drums, maybe new front brakes, new rear lights, fitting front door cards, trying to fit the cd player correctly again, cleaning wires up inside. Building a hold for the amp in the boot so it doesn't slide all over!

This starts monday, so ill get some pics of everything i buy/do over the next week!

bring on pvs!
