gonna sound like a complete novice which is what i am but all i wanna know and to do is stick 17" wheels on my standdard corsa.... will they go straight on no matter what ones i buy? or do i need to buy a certain alloy/wheel size or do i even have to cut out my inner arches... plz do tell...

You need an offset as close to ET49 as possible. And if you've no plans to lower then you don't need to touch your arches.

ok thanks was what i thought but would i be able to get away with et40 and would they rub if i could get away with them?

You will get away with ET40 in terms of them fitting but you may get rubbing, especially so if you lower the car.

They'll look good ONLY if you plan to have a low riding bodykit on the car, if not, they'll look too big.
