new sump, as ul probly destroy the old one trying to get it off if its tin

Piston rings, valve stem seals and cam seals might be a good idea, considering you're doing EVERYTHING else

piston rings will be done with the pistons. Can youexplain what valve stem seals and cam seals are?

The valve stem seals, er, seal the valve stems

Basically, it's a little rubber seal which sits over the top (stem) of the valve, near the cam, and stops the oil seeping through

They should be included with a top end gasket kit if it's not GM, but you'll probably need to buy them on their own (well, as a pack of 16) from Vauxhall.

AK has some pics of them in his garage.

Oh, and the cam seals are the orange things which sit at the end of the cams and stop the oil getting out. Again, included in a non GM top end gasket set, not sure about genuine though.

AK's prem membership has expired, so can't find the pics
