Z12XE engine on an early 2002 sxi. It went in a few years ago under warranty and was 'fixed' but 1st and 2nd are becoming hard to select again.

I know there was a problem with the selectors on the early ones. Does anyone have a fix for this? Do I need a new selector or linkage?

New linkage I think, had the same problem on my dad's Z18XE Meriva, had to lift up the reverse selector on the gear lever to get first

New linkage. There is a metal one available, which apparently doesn't wear out. I have one of them, it's still shite.
