the saxo has just reached 60k and is soundind a bit ( well alot ) tappy, im going to adjust the tappets tomorrow and change the oil
Question is, on sax-p.com they reckon 15/40 grade oil is unsafe because its too thick to reach all the nooks and crannys of the engine is this bollocks or is there a bit of truth in it?
Just thought Id ask the engine gurus on here

i put 15/40 in my corsa 1.4 sri and it dus sound a little bit knocky for the first minute or two in the mornings but once its warmed up it runs like a dream.i was recomended this oil for summer and 10/40 for winter.

15/40 is a bit thick, i'd put 10w40 semi synthetic in there.

i think u'll find 10w 40 will give a fuller flavour. because its a bit thinner it will circulate up to ur top end quicker -> less taps and abrasion.
