i want to change the oil to some castrol rs motorsport oil but im not sure which rating to get. is it the 0-40 or the 10-50? can any one help please?

if you go to halfords, they have a book which says what std oil goes in which is 10-40 part synth

then you can put in fully synth 0-40 for the best stuff

what milage has the engine done?

stick with gm 10w-40

haynes also recommends this

yeah GM 10/40 is the best to use. I gave mine a service the other week and expected the GM stuff to be expensive, but it worked out at about £20ish to change the oil an filter.
