Nearly finished the setup in my room now, eventually i want a new TV and surround speakers, but what ive got will do for now.

Put up the shelf the other night, and got my HD V+ box installed last week, along with my cable modem. I know the speakers arent set up properly, but theres nowhere else to put them, and its not coming from a proper digital signal anyway, they do the job.

I must say the picture from the V+ box is The BBC HD channel is immense, and watching the football on it the other day was unreal, i kept flicking between the HD & SD signal and the difference was unbelievable. I think i recorded some of it so il try and post up some more pics.

Here they are:

HD Image Quality:

Really want to get a 1080p set, and a HD DVD drive, but got other things to pay for before that, also interested in a PS3 and an a 360 Elite, but time will tell.........

As i said, i dont have much choice where the speakers go, i want to get some small wireless ones to dot around the room, dont like the idea of wires.

I havent turned on the 360 yet in that position, i think il move it to untop of the sub instead, the V+ box emits alot of heat.

They are Bush-Pro 300s. My bro was throwing them out so i took them off his hands, to be honest they arent that bad, the bass is good and there is enough threble to be able to listen to music/watch films/documentaries. I do want to change them, but cant find a real excuse to yet.

Surely you could put a couple of little brackets up for the rear ones? kinda defeats the point of surround sound speakers when they are all together Lovely tv tho

I cant be arsed to have wires everywhere, and the wardrobe goes all the way across the room, so cant mount on that wall - yet. I shall get some deacent wireless ones

I have been asked to post some more SD & HD images so here goes.

Fantastic 4 - Showing on Sky movies at the time, mixture of paused images, and just taking pictures while program plays:

The football in HD is simply amazing, it was all the way through it.

I know its not all shown on Virgin, but end of the day, i didnt pay £300 for the box, and it doesnt cost any extra a month

Anyone know if its possible to run a 360 into a monitor which is being used with DVI from a computer at the same time, with out having to fanny about with plugs?

Im thinking of moving my 360 into this room so i can use it with one of my screens.

Still though, Sky HD is £299 for the box, plus £15 per month on top of which ever Sky package you choose.

I only have Freeview as it is so don't get much Sky stuff anyway.

You can get all range of packages, im not sure what they are though. They do things like 2 for £20 (tv&broadband etc)

Whatever it is, itl be cheaper than Sky, yes you dont get all the HD channels, but the on demand stuff is immense.
