my cars having trouble starting recently, it turns over fine but just wont fire? its really intermittent, most days its fine but today it died when i was driving down the road, it wouldn't start back up for about 10 minuets. it started and drove home fine but i haven't a clue? its not a battery problem and its had new plugs. my exhaust is a little blowy could the reduced back pressure affect it? also, can i buy a code reader from somewhere and diagnose the fault myself rather then get ripped off at vauxhall?

What about HT leads and oil and filter?

is the engine management light on.
check some of your sensor clips. like crank pully clip and dis pack clip.
i lost a clip off me crank pully and the plug comes loose and it often did that.
check ya HT leads. dis pack.
