why put an old 2.0 16v into a newer car? you would be far better off putting a more modern engine in and tuning it.

i aint clued up on vauxhall engine codes, what would be suggested in the way of new engines then...

if someone could list the engien codes and a description of teh engines would be very helpful...

the other thing i was thinking was take a small engine like a 1.4 and either wack on a tubo or supercharger...just to try and replicate one of my fav cars...the polo g40 (how i miss 167bhp from her)...

wat you guys rekon?

a 1.8 sri is an easy swop as the shafts, mounts, well everything is a straight swap. they are good for about 160-180bhp with a turbo conversion. or will see 150 bhp with some choice mods.

engine code: x18xe1 or z18xe

160-180bhp with a turbo?...i spose that is just bolting the turbo straight on and the minimal engine mods...

my 1.8 16v in my golf mk1 produced 180bhp and that was naturall aspirated...

if i was to turbo a 1.8 16v i would be aiming for about 250bhp...

theres a bit more work to turboing a car than 'bolting it on'

having been in the dub scene for a while, and knowing what i can get for a turbo'd 1.8 16v k-jet golf engine 160bhp seems a lil low, compared to what i can get from a dub...

no matter ive found my engine..and going for natural aspiration...maybe a charger later on...but wana get a bit off GO for me SHOW for now...hopefully showcase the car a lil in the summer...and look 4ward to seeing all the other corsa's around...

jus out of interest dya really see many euro corsa's about...ive seen a few on and about the forum...

cheers for all teh help by the way guys...it is much appreciated...
