Have you tryed to push the dent out your self with a smoothing block or somthing similar? i have a huge dent in mine but its creased and also paint has come off. so it can either be filled and then the whole side of the car needs respraying or cut the quater off and weld another one on wich is the best option because it hasnt got filler all over it wich could just fall out as the original rear quater has weekened and streched from the dent, would still need the whole side respraying though. £350 roughly for that kind of work unless you know people

heres the damage
more of a crease than a dent imo. what does everyone think?

sorry about the quality as it is a picture of a picture.
ime thinking it may of been caused by hitting it in the rear as i think the gsi badge is on the wrong side of the tailgate. its on the right and all the other ones i have seen are on the left. not sure on this one

Think i will just leave it

I'm not so sure a crease like that would push out very well, almost goes to a point.
Might be wrong though.

think ime going to get it anyway as ime getting desperate for a gsi now. good mate of mine used to be a pannel beater/ painter so says hell do his best. failing that be a body shop job but dont wont filler all over it so its abit hit and miss. will have plenty of c16xe parts for sale as well to make back some of the money.
ime still abit worried about the tailgate, no its only a badge but why would it be on the right side of the car?
should be picking up on monday so hopefully at to the thread in projects forum

Might of had the tailgate replaced from a none GSI car and stuck it on the wrong side by accident.. if your unsure about it though dont buy it and wait for a gsi thats in better condition.. how much are you paying for this gsi if you dont mind me asking?

that repair needs to be pushed out and filled really mate.
to get a bare metal finish on that repair youd need to get a very very very gd metal worker, theres not many about now adays that would tackle a repair like that without filler and be preared to pay thru the nose for it.
best bet would be just push it out and fill it.. nothing wrong with filler..

no where near as bad as in the picture, picked the gsi up 2day and will roll out easy. not to a point and no paint effected. not even that noticeable tbh.
