on my stereo there's a toggle button that can be switched to keep it displayed   cant help you on what wire to cut though

On the original ISO block cut the grey/red wire. 
 
If you want to do it in the HU loom, cut the blue wire.

On the vauxhall side, there are 2 brown wires. 
 
1 thick          1 thin 
 
Thick one is the earth. I've put the thin one to the earth to. 
 
Someone (wankers) cut my loom. So when putting it back together i found that out.

the blue wire, my headunit has a multiplug option on that, oooo no cutting for me, just unplug, in fact im so sure of it im gonna go have a go now in the dark
