No, it's fine. I took it to the garage, he used this funky suction syringe thing with blue liquid in it. It didn't turn green after about 15mins. The car was pretty much cold and the fan turned on whilst he was doing the test, so it got pretty hot whilst idling. So that was panic over

I can't afford not to tell them, if that makes sense. I use the car for going to Uni and can't really get there without it. If I had an accident (god forbid) and I wasn't insured, I'd be well and truly fucked. Lets face it, insurance companies don't like paying out as it is. So if they find something wrong with the car, it's their perfect excuse.

right but ure car already had them on when u brought it mate, so how the hell did u know

plus in my experience...if u claim on the insurance even if it aint ure fault...ure premium is fucked for next year, if i was to have an accident i wudnt be claiming, brought the car for £1450, was worth £1890, and i wud end up paying more than that for just the insurance the following year

if the car aint worth alot it aint worth claiming

I've already enquired though, so it will probably be on the system.

Also, when I had my last crash. I had no choice but to claim. The radiator was blown. The AA wouldn't pick me up because I had crashed, or wanted £150 which I didn't have. So phoned insurance, sent a recovery truck, car and me taken to accident repair centre, I drove off in courtesy car.

how can you say that though. What happens if you crash into a third party and you have to claim you will have no choice will you?

Also if its th other persons fault your premium doesnt go up

And, for my next trick.

Genuine GM additional brake light

I do quite a bit of motorway driving, which often has tail backs, at weird places. I know that when I'm following a car, I often look for 3rd or additional brake light in front, not what is actually in their clusters. So thought I'd give myself less chance of being rear ended

And a HUGE THANKS to Fonz (Pete) for fitting it. I had no idea mechanical engineers could do electrical engineering (eventually!)

Funny you should say that. High level brake light is an modification in their list but this is GM, and was on the car when I bought it - I didn't know it was a modification

Smoked interior light WITH map lights

Got this off eBay about 1 year ago, never got round to fitting it. Was going to wash the car but the weather is miserable so did this instead. Less effort tbh

Thanks to ChrisBoom for the instructions

What is having an alarm got to do with it?

Because the light is different. It has 2 sections and in the middle is the sensor for the alarm
