i need to replace my alternator, but the parts catalog lists both 70a and 100a. which wqill i need? the car is a 1997 1.6 sport. ( x16xe). cheers.

i looked on my one on the car should tell you the amp rating then go buy that 1 lol

im pretty sure its the 70a, as the 100a is for cars with air con ( i think!) ill just buy that and hope for the best!

anyone had a prolem with alternator overcharging the battery?
