I've read through the sections in my Haynes manual a few times so I'm pretty clued up. I just want the car to be clean when I first do it etc. The side repeaters have a sticky backing, do I need to peel the paper off to stick them to the car?

Oh, and my grill just arrived by van

I've had a set of clear and a set of smoked and none have come with a sticky backing? Just a rubber gasket to make a nice tight fit. Didn't stick them on the car, they just clip in in the same way that the original ones do...

No problems, going to do a progress thread in "Projects and Builds" so check it out in there.

You can see on the back, the brown paper. After looking closer it is a sticky foam pad which is doubled sided, but not stuck down yet. Is it needed?

If I were you then I would take that pad off (if you can) then take off the repeaters that are on the car at the moment and put the rubber gasket off them onto you're new ones.

Excellent - thanks for your advice. Saves me running in and posting on here when the car has 2 holes in the sides
