The 0-60 are pretty meaningless most of the time but even worse for the S3 because as mentioned you have to change in to 3rd to hit 60. The in gear acceleration times give a truer picture of the cars performance.

Personally I really like mine. I was a little disappointed at first because it wasn't as much fun to drive as my old 172 but after a while you appreciate what it can do, the sheer grip in slippery conditions and the pulling power compared to the Clio, plus the refinement and build quality.

yes

Stage 2 with CAI, exhaust and sports cats will see you around 290 depending on the tuner

Past this bigger turbo is required

Your ll be lucky if you get 280 on a standard turbo

anyone know how a 225 s3 would compare to a bmw 330ci in a straight line?

S3 is quicker i driven both

As far as i know yeah, i use Audi-sport.net some of the guys on there are very clued up. 280 is a push on a standard turbo.

I your going for an S3 consider what options you want first:

Rear parking sensors
Sunfoof
Heated seats
Colour combination seats
Alloy mirrors
RS4 wheels
Bose sound system & disc changer (in-dash)
Sat Nav
Cruise control

I think theres a few more to.

any ideas on the standard spec of them?

Climate/Aircon?
Cruise control?

The blue with blue/black interior looks amazing, but they seem to be few and far between .

Yes mate i own one.

Electric seats
Xenon lights
Climate control
Remote cental locking / alarm etc
Electric windows
Heated electric mirros
Faclifts come with ESP as standard +ABS etc
Haldex quattro system
Wide arches, spolier, skirts different bumpers
Even the window washer water is heated

Cruise is an option (a bloke on ebay will pay a visit & install it for 150quid if you really wan it)

Yeah the coloured interiors do look good although lighter colours will stain & older will suffer from wear. Black leather is a good choice to go for although a bit slippery if ya know what i mean.

I fitted one of these www.phatnoise.com & its great basically an MP3 juke box which is controlled through the standard headunit. 20GB of space which can be upgraded. Simply press the scan button & it tells you what your listening to.

If they did i ve never seen it, would look great on a red S3. Also some colours do sell better than others & for more money.

If you fancy a red one though theres two types one is slighty orange (dont bye that one).

rob the ctr is a decent hot hatch, despite what people say on here. the 225 s3 is miles away from being slow, it will go at roughly the same pace as an e46 330ci and my mate just got one of these. definately puts you back in your seats and it keeps going and going

Hmm its a 52 reg, what are the symptoms? When I press the accelerator the revs kind of judder through the range if that makes sense. It feels like when coil packs are gone on other cars I have driven so I just assumed it was that.
