Right as you know joiner / plasterer etc all finished in living room...

So now got to paint all doors/woodwork wall etc...

Reminder of layout

one side

other side before doors etc
We have the layout done already of the furniture etc only having
2 chairs
settee
table
telly etc and thats it...

On the deor side the back wall at TV was going to be brown and all other walls a toffee / cream colour..

Now my missus want to do that back wall at TV with a heavy patterened wallpaper(in your face thing) and all other walls cream....

I have doubts, would still be creams and browns but undecided...

Meant to be in at moment one wall with a heavy patteren on it?

Any thoughts.?

it seems like every living room i see is cream and brown, or all the walls are different colours, i like that idea of wall paper, but, why not have white rather than cream? and paint the wall paper blue, so you have 3 white walls and 1 blue wallpapered wall with the thick pattern

Mav, your missus is spot on, big bold prints are in. Be brave and go for it, be different.

Some really nice ones at Designers Guild

http://www.designersguild.com/

You could still have your other 3 walls cream, but bring some nice bright colours on the wall thats being papered, then matching accessories

Well just treat Karen to a few more, I'm sure she'd like that A few cushions, a vase, a lamp shade, curtains etc, etc, ect ........................

BTW the likes of Tesco and Asda sometimes have some cool accessories at much cheapness but really nice :thumbs

Big bold patterned wallcoverings are back

Mav, I prefer the one on the left

Be a devil and go for something with a really dark chocolate background, but with a touch of a vibrant colour in it (so Karen has an excuse to buy the new accessories)

She prefers the left one aswell as it is white with different shades of brown in it...

Mav this site has hundreds of wallcoverings, and it shows every one of them as a feature wall, in different room settings. Gives you a good idea how they will look on the wall If you click on Design Ideas and take it from there

As said all my houses have been plain painted walls...Karen wants a design feature in this one just in living room on one wall...

My concern is 'it is IN' at the moment but might date quickly and need changed soon, also I might get sick looking at it after a while

We will see...

They're

I found one I really liked last night, it was a dark brown background with a large teal coloured flower thing on it. When it showed you the room setting, it looked really cool, like big bold stripes running down the wall. I was going to post the link to let you see it, but lost the page. I spent hours trying to find it again, I eventually gave up
