Mum wants to redecorate the spare room downstairs, but between us, we can't work out what to do with it.

we already have;

Conservatory, which gets used as a sort of living room
Decent Kitchen
Dining room
Living room
Downstairs toilet
then a decent bathroom
2 decent bedrooms and a spare bedroom upstairs.

but we still have a spare room downstairs, which is as big as a garage (not allowed to convert it to one again though

so, WTF do we do with it?

I suggested a music room, but it wouldnt get used, neither would a cinema room, and mum isnt keen on another living room

suggestions please...

Why wouldnt a cinema get used?

A decent projector and surround sound - everyones a winner.

Cinema room could be expensive.

I personally would go for office space.

Thats what it's like at the moment, desk at one end, the decent stereo at the other.

We need a new computer really, so I suppose we could make it into a better office, and just lay it out better, but atm it doesn't get much use

It's a bit of a wasted space really, it's the wrong shape for anything to work well.

Or make an indoor koi pond? Could have it raised off the ground with a nice glass viewing window in the side, keep it heated in the winter and grow some beasts

Its not big enough for a pool table

I'll measure it tomorrow, but at a guess, i'd say its 2.8m x 5.3m or something.
