The Astra will be cheaper than the Corsa.

The Focus will handle better than the Corsa and Astra.

The Astra is better on the motorway yhan the Corsa as it doesn't need to rev as much, and therefore has better fuel economy.

The Focus isn't slower than the Astra.

well according to parkers just now, the 1.8 sxi is 9.5 seconds, the focus 1.8 is 9.9

but like I say, how often do you do that?...

because if the aircon is on, it drains power from the engine.

Considered an Astra G coupe over the 1.8 hatch models? Bigger than the Corsa and nicer than the hatch in my opinion (although I am a little bit biased! )

had problems with my corsa c - steering column, gearlinkage, cv joints and i think either the rack or 6 month old column is nackered.

astras are much more comfy and probably more reliable.

ive been scanning the net over the last hour and have seen some nice looking astras.

The pics i have seen of the interior though look crap, even on the sxi/sri models. The corsa sri interior imo looks far better.

No contest for me.

On my second astra G now, was only a 1.6 16v sxi my first one, was r/r at 107 bhp, ran a 17.2 sec 1/4 mile, top speed was about 130mph.
Everything Robin says is true, know quite a few people with Corsa C`s so can tell the difference. Pic ofmy old one with all its Irmscher goodies.

its a tough choice, im really not sure.

the astra looks a bit old now, the corsa is a wee bit quicker and looks like it has better interior imo.

yuor 1.6 astra seems quick at 130mph and quarter mile time, they are suposed to be alot slower then the 1.8

I disagree about the 'Corsa interior is better' comment.

The seats in the Astra SRi are perfect, the dash is more solid, the doors feel better, it just feels put together better.

Sit in both, you'll agree.

Not all of the astra interiors are bad.

This is a picture of my coupe SE2 interior

Half leather and blue alcantara. You can also get a similar style with white alcantara.

Moving from a 1.0 Corsa B to an Astra Coupe was the best move I've made car wise. Much nicer to drive and the 1.8 copes well in a heavy car.

well i got the 1.4 corsa c and ive had 125mph on the motorway so not sure what the 1.8 would be like. the corsa feels solid inside imo and look a bit better. i think you have to put more effort into makin the astra look nice.

both good cars tho, just try em out and see what you think, but id go for the corsa 1.8

agreed, more effort does have to be put into the astra. i would be happy to drive round a standard corsa 1.8,

the astra looks very dated standard. i just love it when modded with irmy gear.

that coupe does have nice interior, but that model is not a option for me as i prefer teh hatchbacks.
the 1.8s are a nice cheap insurance group with good fuel economy and decent performance. thats why i have chosen that engine.

i think it is just a case of trying them both out though and seeing what i personally prefer.

thats a few pics of mine, im happy with it feels solid and i think it looks nice as standard. yet to spend cash on it.

oh and i was in wales at the time, the hill weren't too bad but it still said 125 on the speedo so by the laws of physics i guess i was travelling at a speed of 125mph. unless muppetsport can come up with your own ideas on how fast things really go or do we even move at all......................
