Never used a audio card in my PC before, always had half decent Mobo's with good on board sound, anyway, I've just purchased a digital drumkit (which fooking rules!) and I'd like to connect it to my pc so I can listen to mp3's through the headphones on the drumkit and play along and also to be able to listen to myself drumming through my PC speakers when the neighbours are out (and I get better at it!)
Would I be able to do this with a audio card or is it simply not possible?
If it is possible - any recomendations for audio cards?

Muchios muchios in advance!

You're quite clever - I never actually thought of that!

One problem, headphones on PC don't have a long enough cord to reach the drumkit, I feel some form of extension/splitter arrangement might be in order, will have a look at it tomorrow, I'm tired and cold and ergo I'm going to bed!

You can't go wrong with M-Audio soundcards...I run 2 of them. If you're considering upgrading yours, check out the Audiophile 2496, should be ample for your needs.

Line out the PC to the Mix In socket on the module.

It'll play through the brain unit

I could pull off my Dave Grohl impression on that superbly I think.
