I bought the car when i passed my test in september 05
this is how it looked, standard smoke grey vauxhall corsa 5 door, its a 1.4i LS so as you can guess its pretty basic.

I then decided to join up on Corsasport after lurking around for a while & decided to find some alloys, i ended up buying the Corsa C sxi alloys off of a member on here (smoothie SRI)

i then bought some L.E.D's off of cobra

& added some footwell neons & laguna Splitter

(yep someone knicked my vauxhall badge)

As my dad is in the motor trade we have access to spray booths, tools & paint so naturally i wanted to learn a bit and with a helping hand we sprayed some of the interior trim gloss black

As this is my first car & i have just left 6th form the updates may be slow and not as extravagant as some other projects on here, but i am aiming to keep the car tidy & update the look of it over the next few years.

oh yeah forgot to mention i now have vectra chrome handles fitted, does finish it off a treat.

had to sand all of the dash trims down till smooth (get rid of orange peel effect) & then used few coats of high build plastic primer, to get a nice smooth even surface. The black is out of a rattle can just so i can get the correct colour again if i needed to & for the the gloss we used the compressor to put a few coats of laquer on

cheers for the comments people

Yupsie, As I say on every 5 door thread, I love the fact I dont have to get out to let people in!

Its alot less common to see a 5dr with a little effort applied to it so thats why I like it

cheers its getting there slowly

yeah very easy to do mate, all you gotta do is undo a couple of screws for each piece, most of which sit behind the vents.
the center console was the trickiest bit to do, not good when you have big hands lol theres a couple of tutorials in the tutorials section & i think theres a good detailed description in the haynes max power manual.

Hoddo: your definatly right tis a lot easier & as you said a lot less common

Update: yes car is a mess

was looking for a set of vaux mudflaps like what haimsey has, but got these free from a mate.
He said they didn't fit, i made some brackets & imo they fit alright for something thats free

as you may have noticed its on steelies atm well since the alloys needed new tyres & i cant park to save my life, its time to refurb them i will be taking pics as i do this.

i also have more rust on the tailgate due to someone scratching it, so will have to redo the tailgate again, but properly this time.
also not sure if i should go for a semi smooth tailgate or just bolt the maera rear wiper on?

the depos are sitting in my room collecting dust atm will fit when its not raining or when i can get in the garage.

not much progress to be honest but a severe lack of money is draining me

Not much progress, altho did give the car a clean & touched up the scratch on the tailgate.
Also found out the maera rear wiper doesn't fit the 5 door as well as a 3 door, infact it looked crap so took it off an gave it to a mate, still havent fitted depo's yet

Couple of quick pics

thinking of getting a set of SA "bubble" rear lights, Smooth the petrol flap, color code handles, mirrors, boot lock surround & maybe color code bumpers if i can get my hands on a pre 97 irmscher front lip.

yeah i'll get round to that asap, sits like a 4x4 at the mo
ill probably only drop it by 40mm due to the amount of crap roads, potholes & speed bumps.
What shocks & springs are good for a 40mm drop, any recommendations?

tidy mate, you've probs seen pics of my 5dr? what aerial is that? would love to source a better rear wiper, Im not a fan of gromits looks like a poverty spec with it

and I aint got the funds to get it professionally done!

ever considered removing the pre 97 rub strips? if ya not sure take a look at mine. and If ya really not sure, maybe get some post 97 strips.

all in all though. looks good! and Im sue you can also say you get people noticing ya car purely because its not an abused 5 dr.

Haynesy: cheers, not lowered yet its just the angle of the pics and the laguna splitter also makes the car look lower.

MJ: i use photoshop to add the border etc.
yeah your 5 door looked tidy, i have a few plans & ideas but want to keep the pre97 bumpers.

Hoddo: cheers fella, yeah your 5door certainly looks clean.
The aerial is off a jag, s type i think. yeah i have tried different wipers such as the maera wiper but the dont seem to sit as well as they do on a 3dr.

i have considered removing/changing rubstrips but i wasn't 100% sure, looks good on yours tho.

definatly just keeping it simple clean & tidy gets some looks & comments, theres so many abued corsa's & 5 doors about that its good to be slightly different
