I got some new alloys in about July this year and put a brand new set of Yokohama A539s on. When I was walking back to my car after parking with full lock on, the inside edge of my drivers side front was bald.
I think tracking needs checking cos it does seem to pull slightly at times but I'm not sure its that bad that it would wear a tyre out in 6 months (approx. 5K). It's lowered 40mm all round I can't see that doing so much damage either.
I've heard that the A539s are supposed to have a descent life-span. What do you people think? Could tracking cause so much damage even though it doesn't feel that bad?
I can't be doing with spending 100 quid for new front tyres every six months.
P.S Rears still seem to have plenty of life.

You're paying over the odds for the A539s...you can get them delivered for just over £50 (say £10 each to fit them).
I was advised to get my tracking sorted out at a cost of £22 (National) and have the A539s myself.....will save me money in the long run.

Tracking doesn't need to be far out to chew tyres, so get it checked.
It will NOT cause a pull though, wrong pressures would.

Just had tracking checked. Some good news and some bad.
Good news - Tracking was a mile out.
Bad news - One front tyres illegal, the others very close.
Looks like I'll be having odd wheels on the front till I can get them sorted. Come on 14s.

Where from?
I got them at trade through my mate? Never seen them that cheap. They're 195/45/16s by the way.
