When I bought my laptop I qualified for a upgrade to Vista, just done it now. Wasn't actually free though, had to pay for shipping. Still, not bad!

I got my PC new direct from Dell a wee while(6 months) ago but never got Vista voucher I don't think

Thats because you got your computer before OEM copies of XP were being shipped with upgrade vouchers...

Yeah 6 months is too long - perhaps 2-3 months ago might get the upgrade cheap - mostly PCs bought since Xmas.
