The standard Monaro looks a bit gay.

It's only money though...

I'd rather spend 27k, get a car with 3 years warranty, which was brand new with no scratches/dents/wear, and have it when I wanted one, than wait 2 years and have to mince about looking for a half decent one with low mileage, just to save some money, which would probably be spent on tyres, brakes, clutch, cambelt etc.

But that's just me.

I'd never buy a brand new car ever again, but the VXR's we are looking at are at maximum 6 months old with no more than 5k miles on the clock and are around 17k, brand new that same car would have cost 22k.

i'd spent that 27k now on a nice 996, then buy the monaro once it had come down to earth.

Well tbh, I wouldn't buy a Monaro anyway if I had 27k to spend

I do sort of agree with you.

I would buy a brand new car. Dont give a flying fuck that it will lose x amount of money when you drive it off the forecourt.

Most people get them on finance anyway so they just trade it in every 3 years instead of paying the lump sum at the end and get another brand new one.

i wouldnt touch a monaro till it was near 10k i'm afraid. Dont do anything at all for me.

Seen the price of M3's now too.. the new shape ones.

Sure i saw one for sale for 17k

Tuscan for 18k

the list of more 'exiting' cars for the money goes on

Dunno, but there's a lot of choice for 27k, second hand and new.

I think I'd buy more than one car actually

People will always argue about this, best to agree to disagree, of course id like a brand new car but ive not been born into a money doesnt matter life & have never been that way so i'll probably never have a brand new car....thats just me though ive always been taught to be good/careful with money & make do with what I have or can sensibly afford!!

I see young whippersnappers on a daily basis thinking their the biggest penis in town it their brand new cars....only another 60 monthly payments to Vauxhall & it will be officially theirs aswell, untill then their owned by the bank
