i have a bit of an oil leak around the sump on my x16xe.its oily around the bottom of the engine(sump) and its quite damp over near the bottom of the bellhousing.
wat would cause this?

I think the oil leak on my sport was in a similar place i.e dripping from around the sump, but it was the crankshaft oil seal that had worn.

If it is then your clutch might have oil on it like mine did.

Cost just over £100 to supply and fit clutch and seal. Was though a friend of Dads though..

Got my fingers crossed for you that its the sump

Just because it's only leaking at one side doesn't mean it's not the sump gasket.
