next step - remove tie rods, bottom arms and suspension so i can build the engine up totally inc gearbox, drive shafts etc and drop the car over the engine. thats once the welding is done, sprayed the bay and cut the bulkhead out some more lol

theres alot todo but the end is in sight atlast!

progress 21.04.2007

how i was greeted this morning after last nites work. coilovers, bottom arms, tie rods and hubs removed. i now need a new track rod end as i had to cut a bolt off.

then i covered up the windscreen and attacked the bulk head to make way for the throttle bodies

cleaned up and etch primed the lower crossmember as it was starting to rust abit

while i was waiting for the primer etc to dry i got on with getting my engine back together. now the engine is complete apart from the tb.s being bolted on as i need to tap the brake vacuum servo pipe into them, and trim the linkage down abit. note i finally got my new bottom pulley sorted out

i did some other work on the car but im keeping that quiet atm

removed engine wiring loom. its huge so glad thats out the way

and the task for the day. mask up and etch prime the engine bay

more progress tomorrow

paint looks great for a rattle can job!

If I had done it it would have gone all orangepeely and dripped off in a big gloop on the floor. I hate bodywork

completely6 remove the bulkead mate, itr helps massively with cooling and airflow over the tb's. means the scuttle panel acts as 1 huge bonnet vent!
