liamcorsa - cheers mate, its all paid off in the end....... i hope! i cant wait to get it all set up run in then on the rollers. im not going to trax, sorry.

1scr -i changed the engine once and head gasket twice. its still not ruinning sweet but good enough to drive atm

took it for another drive today and its broken down twice when it gets hot (95deg c). really dont know what is causing this but its getting annoying.

also fitted my front bumper today..........................

i had a very sim problem with my old xe so changed the Cts and Temp sensor i think it was and it ran perfect...

if you havent had it set up yet it may be running lean?
you tried taking the stat out and going for another run?

is it mapped yet?

if not the temp map wont be right, it could be a number of thing infact. get it mapped and set up by someone that knows what they are doing management wise.

my bumper is on sheris corsa atm because hers is borken and her front indicators are on the front panel so a normal bumper would of hidden them.

the skirts arnt on there anymore because we smashed one off wen we hit a big puddle. it was behond repair but we have a set of steinmetz skirts for it now

driven again to day and this time it broke down when i got home. took the cap off the header tank and it bubbled over loads so im guessin there was a massive airlock in the coolant system.

yer sounds like a air lock to me to just run it with top off when you get an afternoon free and get all the air out although you proberbly already know this is the engine/coolant system staying at a good tempreture.

not so good to hear about your enjoy probs matey, thankfully i havent had a problem atol with my engine i put in,infact,its alot better than before,because i did all the work

the car is soo close to be running now but due to the problems ive been having ive really lost interest in the project. MOT runs out on 5th July and it wont be done by then. its garage and new car time i think

did the same with my car matey, it broke in september,shut it away till feb/march then started a fresh,i bought an escort van to replace it,then went out and bought the xe nova too

dave a - it wont run for more than 10mins before it cuts out and then doesnt restart and nowhere around here can map it in the next couple of weeks.
