sounds like the tb's need balancing easy to do on the jenveys just get your self a webber synchrometer and its a 10 min job

webber synchrometer looks like the thing this guy has in his right hand, cost about £40



you put it into the tb's to measure airflow or waccum that that tb is pulling. set the master pair of tb's first to about 5cfm and then match it with the slave pair. do not use the small idle valves to do this, use the linkage adjustment. remember that this will also adjust the TPS position. after practice will be able to balance them by ear.

a quick update. it drives! there is no power but thats down to it not running well but it drives! just need to adjust the balance of the bodies and put in the new lambda sensor and im hoping that will cure the missfire

abit more progress - fitted new lambda sensor tonight, and connect it up to the loom. started fine as normal then ran out of fuel after a few seconds lol. will get some fuel for it 2mo night n have a go at balancing the tb's so that it will idle ok. then i need to find out why its missfiring?? poss ignition map, blocked injector, coil pack, sticking lifter, compression down on 1 cylinder, ht leads?? the list goes on lol

cash_2_my_corsa - my gf is back from uni for the next 4.5months so i dont think i'll be back up there anytime soon. maybe drive there just to run the engine in (220miles there and back)

sam13 - i think the comment my bro made at the end of the vid just sums it up lol. alot of time and money has gone into it and there is still more to do lol

sorry if the vid doesnt work on ya comps. ive tried to upload it again but with the same results.

i did abit more work on the car this eve along the lines of fetling with the idle etc to get it running better. lambda sensor is now all wired in and working spot on (i hope). i got the engine running sweet then it died after about 15mins but this was long enough to run it so i changed the oil but then couldnt get it to start again. as i dont have the knowledge, time or equiptment to do the finishing touches, i have decided to get it looked at by the local engineering company who only a few weeks ago got 237bhp from a redtop xe. im still planning to be there at pvs in it!
