Hello

Has any1 got a corsa with aircon and had a LET conversion?
I just want to know if it actually fits in there as space is going to be tight.
If so where can you mount the intercooler and oil cooler?

Thanks

Don't think you'll be able to keep it with a LET.

Anythings possible if you put the work in to get it. With a bit of cutting and weleding you should be able to get it to work.

in theory, it should work, as the only extra thing in the bay is the pump, and a pipe or 2.

intercooler would mount infront of the aircon rad, oil cooler would go wherever you wanted.

not sure if the pump will mount to the let though, you might have to use a cavalier/astra aircon pump.

I cant get my front bumper off
I was thinking the intercooler will go infron of the aircon rad but behind the bumper, might be tight!
Cant really cut anything away either.
Also will a LET fit in without taking the bumper off, i can lift the car on to the engine.

it should be possible, it'll just take longer, and be more hassle, but i can't see a reason why you couldnt do it.

With a ramp you can lift the car off the engine, then put the new engine in without removing the bumper.

it is probably possible but would take alot of work. one of the only ways would be to ditch the power steering to give u more room

LOL, i cant really get rid of that either, i am used to it now. This is starting to not look possable.
The 1.6 turbo seems easier now, but i would have as much power and would still cost me asmuch to do

Hydraulic at a guess.

You can pick up EPS steering columns and ECU's for a few quid off of Ebay quite easily now. I was going to do it to my 2.0, but not sure if I can be bothered with the hassle...

yeah, it'll have hydraulic, which is rubbish.

that's what I'd do, then you can use the PAS mount area for the A/C compressor

I would say it would be easier to try and mount the 1.6 compressor onto the 2.0 block too. Some custom brackets would do the job. Also, I think you will need to cut the chassis leg to get the multi V pully to fit?
