I have a bl@@dly big crack down my windscreen, I can't claim off my insurence as only 3rd party, and I have phoned a couple of local people and want from £200 to £350 to have it replaced, is this about right? I know its tinted but still seems alot,my other car (Mondeo) has a heated screen and is about the same price!

Autoglass will charge you £240 for a wndscreen so sounds about right.

You could always get one from a breakers/scrap yard for £50-60 but it would need fitting obviously.

Try and speak to someone who works for AutoGlass.
I got a screen and had it fitted by an Autoglass technician for £65.
