Some of them come with open differentials, some models come with VLSD's but they are normally nackard and have rubbish locking ratios anyway..

Welded diff works just like a 2 way and just clonks abit when your going slow

Now we have a projects section, I think i shall do the right thing and update.

Filled and sanded the centrally located holes from where the bumper was, rust wasnt bad so just p40's the fookers. I need to do something about the other bits bit will decide that when i have time and i come round to spraying, as I ran out of p40 and mixing up the actual fibre is messy stuff with out a decent supply of paint brushes

Next it was time to investigate what i thought was a leaking diff, but as the days went on and I noticed the brake light warning thingy coming on, the fact it didnt feel like oil, seemed like water, and didnt smell led me to beleive its brake fluid, checking the fluid level its approaching the Min area.. so im pretty sure thats that

This weekend will be spent removing one largely sticky looking diff, and tracing the problem, repairing and adding new brake lines hopefully where it needs to be done ready for bovingdon on the 19th.

In the mist of all this, I also set about doing something I need to do..almost as urgent as having working brakes...

Ghetto gauge fitment.. just temp for now till i work out what to do with it and such, and the drift button for the handbrake to allow fall away lever workings

I dont have an after picture but i fitted a manual boost control valve here.. honest

And this is part of the hot start solenoid that needs removing

Steering doesnt feel all that solid, so new steering bushes are on the list of things to do, but priorites first. wil update more at the weekend

Just for you rob, heres my tools

This is where the diff WAS

This is where the diff LANDED

diff oil cooler pump, now disconnected

Suspect peice of pipe that appears to be 10 cm too short, also known as, fucked as bits are missing

And this is the diff before it got checked over and GUNKED

It looks a fair bit cleaner now but it was too dark to get any pics when I came in, its sitting in the shed, ive cleaned it up tightened the breathers, and checked for leaks, dried it up, and i'll see if theres a nasty patch of anything on the floor tomoro night / next saturday
