started for the first time yesterday so well pleased, all seems ok but engine dosnt shut down on the key. have to remove the fuel pump relay to turn engine off. it starts on the key and fuel pump only runs wen ignition is on. must of wired something up wrong but not sure what would cause this to happen? anyone had this before or have any idea what it mgt be? i thought perhaps fuel pump relay or maybe i gave ecu permanent live instead of switched?

when you turn it off with the key does it run as normal (ie, idling) or does it splutter?

my mates did this on his 2.0 16v corsa. you'd turn the key to the fully off position and it'd still run as normal. we noticed that the rev counter wasn't working properly so while the engine was running with the key in the off position we pulled the clocks/dials out and hey presto the engine cut out!!
we tested my clocks/dials in and it worked perfectly.
